Compared with hot forming processes, cold forging can be completed without additional equipment, greatly minimizing energy consumption and increasing production speed. As a result, workpieces made by cold forging are less affected by temperature variation and therefore they are ensured greater precision in geometric tolerance and better surface smoothness.
