Cold Forging Knuckle Joint Presses

Cold forging knuckle joint presses are primarily used for plastic deformation of metal pieces, including battery aluminum cases, cosmetic aluminum squeeze tubes, air conditioner tube connectors, motor guns, and other processing forgings.

This series of cold forging knuckle joint presses features a multi-connecting rod toggle transmission mechanism. When the sliding block moves between the nominal force distance, the extruding force gradually increases and there is a 0.3-0.35s dwell time when the sliding block arrives the end of the nominal force distance. This helps to decrease the deformation resilience of the discharged finished products, facilitates the one-time molding of the forgings and simplifies the re-machining process, as well as saves material and labor costs.

Depending on the tonnage, Qili offers different cold forging knuckle joint presses for customers to choose from, including a horizontal and vertical type.

Features of cold forging knuckle joint presses
  • The extrusion force gradually increases and gradually slows to the end. The speed is slow when the die comes into contact with the workpiece. These features extend the die service life.
  • With a long nominal force distance, work begins early.
  • Multiple slide strokes per minute offers a fast workpiece extrusion speed and a high working efficiency.
  • An automatic cycling lubricating system and working safety protection system are available. Open the shield and the press will automatically shut down.
  • The high slip motor usage period not only helps to quickly replace energy used for workpiece extrusion, but also ensures the equipment has enough energy under load operations, thus saving electricity.
  • The crankshaft is forged using high carbon steel. The main bearing and connecting rod bushing are produced using a bronze alloy with an outstanding corrosion resistance.
  • The gear is manufactured using high quality steel and is treated with a finish machining grinding and hardening furnace to ensure the sliding block’s operational tolerance.
  • Cold forging is carried out through a one-time shaping process, with no need for cutting. This saves material when compared to other forming processes.
  • Equipped with automatic feeding and discharging devices, it saves labor and features a high degree of automation.
